On July 4th, 1914 dynamite prematurely detonates inside a top floor Harlem apartment killing four people. The dynamite had been planned to be used to blow up John D. Rockefeller’s home.


On October 13, 1914 a bomb was placed inside Saint Patricks Cathedral during a time of worship. The bomb detonated injuring one. While this bomber was not caught, a future bomber was caught in act by the NYPD, placing another bomb in Cathedral.

On March 28th 1908, during a union rally held in Union Square Park New York City, a bomb prematurely explodes in the hand of anarchist Selig Cohen aka Selig Silverstein as he attempts to throw at police.

On September 16, 1920, a man operating a horse drawn cart stopped at Exchange Place and Wall Street directly across from the J.P. Morgan building, and left horse and cart behind. At 12:01 p.m. the cart exploded killing over 30 and injuring some 300.

n late January 2018, a Confederate monument which, centers a section of the Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee where 1,500 confederate soldiers are buried, was vandalized with words of “Anarchy”, “Black Lives Matter” and “Swastikas.” This act of mischief is highlighted as numerous monuments and statues across the United States are being vandalized or simply removed by some local governments and by activists. It is being filed under anarchism as the activists that are perpetrating these acts across the country fall more in line with the anti-government groups.

George Metesky, a former employee of Consolidated Edison (Con Ed) lost his job with the company after getting injured on the job. Over a 16 year period during the 1940’s-1950’s, George Metesky AKA “The Mad Bomber” terrorized New York City by planting bombs in various locations in retaliation for denied additional workers compensation.

On October 2, 2006, Charles Roberts entered the West Nickels Mine school in Paradise Pennsylvania to intentionally kill young Amish girls to get even with God because of the loss of his own daughter at birth. He was said to have said, “I’m angry at God and I need to punish some Christian girls to get even with him.”

“In the midst of their grief over this shocking loss, the Amish community didn’t cast blame, they didn’t point fingers, they didn’t hold a press conference with attorneys at their sides. Instead, they reached out with grace and compassion toward the killer’s family.”

During the month of October 2002, 10 people had been randomly gunned down and three critically injured while going about their everyday lives—mowing the lawn, pumping gas, shopping, reading a book. Among the victims was one of our own—FBI intelligence analyst Linda Franklin, who was felled by a single bullet while leaving a home improvement store in Virginia with her husband. The massive investigation into the sniper attacks was led by the Montgomery County (Maryland) Police Department, headed by Chief Charles Moose, with the FBI and many other law enforcement agencies playing a supporting role. Chief Moose had specifically requested our help through a federal law on serial killings. On June 10th, 2009 an 88-year-old white supremacist named James von Brunn, entered the U.S. Holocaust Memorial and Museum in Washington D.C. with a rifle, and shot and killed Stephen T. Johns, a security guard.


The National Renaissance Party was an American neo-fascist group frequently in the headlines during the 1960s and 1970s for its involvement in violent protests and riots in New York City. In the photo is Roy Frankhouser during a demonstration on April 1st, 1972 at the former Rhodesian Embassy in New York City.


On April 22, 2018 a mass shooting occurred at a Waffle House located in Antioch, Tennessee in which killed 4 and inured 2. The shooter, Travis Reinking, was eventually tracked down and arrested. He suffered from pyschological issues. Source: NY Times


On September 24, 2017 Emanuel Samson opened fire at the Burnette Chapel Church located in Antioch, Tennessee killing one but injuring several others. The shooting was designated as a hate crime as there wasn’t a larger political motive found. Source: Fox News


Anti-Government


On April 14 1972 New York City, NYPD Officers responded to a fake, ‘police needs assistance‘ 911 call from the Nation of Islam Mosque No. 7 in the Harlem on 116 street and Lenox Avenue. Upon entering the premise, Officers were assaulted by 15-20 congregants. One of the congregants removed Officer Philip Cardillo’s firearm and shot him point blank. Officer Cardillo died 6 days later. The photo overlay shows an Inspector holding Detective Randy Jurgensen who was hit in the head by objects being thrown at police during the response.

On March 6th, 1970 An apartment rented by members of the Weather Underground, accidently detonates explosives inside 18th West 11th Street New York City.

On January 24th, 1975, Puerto Rican nationalist group the (FALN) Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional Puertorriqueña planted a suitcase bomb in the lobby of Fraunces Tavern located in lower Manhattan, New York City killing 4 and injuring 44. Source: NY Times


On October 20th 1981, members of the Black Liberation Army (BLA) and Weather Underground robbed at gun point, a Brinks Armored Car in Rockland County, New York killing Nyack Police Officers Sgt. Edward O’Grady, Officer Waverly Brown and Brinks armored car operator Peter Paige. The overlay photo displays 3 Weather Underground members involved in the fatal robbery being escorted out of the former Nyack, Police Department.

On June 9 1970, the domestic terrorist group Weather Underground planted a time bomb made of dynamite inside the then New York City Police Department Headquarters located at 240 Centre Street.


Religious Motivation


On February 26, 1993 a Ryder van packed with explosives, was driven into the North Tower World Trade Center parking garage and detonated a time later.

On May 1st, 2010, Faisal Shahzad parked his Toyota SUV loaded with a homemade bomb in Times Square, New York City. The bomb smoked instead of exploding drawing attention to it by a cart vender.

On April 15th, 2013, two bombs detonated near the finish line of the 117th running of the Boston Marathon killing 3 and injuring over 200.
