The California Department of Motor Vehicles will be transitioning to a new alphanumeric license plate sequence as the current sequence has almost reached its completion. The new sequence will be have a sequence of 123ABC4 and we should start seeing these at the end of 2025. At the time of this writing, California’s current sequence is 9NCH679 as reported by The High Road
