| The Ruby Ridge standoff was a violent confrontation in August 1992 between federal agents and Randy Weaver’s family at their cabin in Idaho, which lasted 11 days. It resulted in the deaths of Weaver’s wife, Vicki, and his son, Sammy, as well as a U.S. Marshal.
